Main age groups affected by loneliness
Thank you to those who attended our coffee morning on Saturday 6th April 2024 and a big thank you to our Patient Participation Group (PPG) who gave up their time to organise and facilitate this event.
We welcomed over 50 patients to Kingswood who had an interest in the subject of ‘Loneliness’. Dr Bowes spoke about how loneliness affects so many people living in our community.
It was highlighted that one of the main age groups affected by loneliness is 17 – 24 year olds.
For all age groups the PPG are producing a leaflet which will contain information about local groups which may be of interest to anyone feeling lonely or who may like to get involved from a volunteer perspective. We have printed versions of the leaflet available in reception.
