Kingswood Surgery is a training practice and welcomes a variety of trainees.
Work Experience
This is an opportunity for students over the age of 18 who are forming a decision on a future career path in medicine to spend a short period with a General Practitioner. If there is due to be a student at your consultation we will inform you. If you would prefer that the student is not present during your consultation please inform reception staff.
Medical Students
We will have medical students with us during their training in General Practice. The students may sit in on consultations with the doctors or practice nurses, and may see patients booked in with them with the agreement of the patient, who will then also see one of the Surgery GPs.
If there is due to be a medical student at your consultation we will inform you. If you would prefer that the student is not present during your consultation please inform reception staff.
Registrars
These are fully qualified doctors who are undergoing postgraduate training in General Practice. You may be offered an appointment with our Registrar who will usually discuss your treatment with one of the Partners. If you would prefer not to see the Registrar please inform reception. This will not affect your treatment.
Video Recordings
Video recordings of consultations (not examinations) are a valuable part of general practice training but these will only be undertaken with your written consent.
