The routine childhood vaccination schedule has changed.
Children will now receive the combined MMRV vaccine, which protects against measles, mumps, rubella, and chickenpox. The first dose is given at around 12 months, with a second dose at 18 months or during the 3 years and 4 months booster appointment. This change aims to offer broader protection against common childhood infections and reduce the risk of illness and outbreaks. For questions about eligibility or timing, please contact the surgery.

Patients visit their GP for help with stress and symptoms related to mental illness.
Some of the issues that patients face during these times are caused or made worse by non-medical issues such as financial & employment concerns, housing issues, social isolation, substance misuse, bereavement or caring and parenting responsibilities.
We connect people over the age of 18 to community groups, activities and services in the local area who can help you with these issues.
We can see you for a period of up to 12 weeks to help you through a personalised plan of support.
Minor Surgery

Patient Needs Group (PNG)
You may notice a "Johns Hopkins score" or "Patient Needs Group (PNG)" mentioned in the NHS App or by the surgery team.
This is simply a way of understanding patients' health needs more clearly, so that care can be better planned and delivered.
What is it?
The Johns Hopkins Scoring System groups patients according to their health conditions and the level of support they may need.
- It is based on research widely used across the NHS.
- It looks at things like long-term conditions, how many conditions a person has, and how complex those conditions are.
Why is it used?
- To make sure patients get the right care at the right time
- To help the surgery plan services and appointments effectively
- To identify patients who may need extra support or early checks
- To focus on prevention and keep people healthier for longer
Low need
- 1Non-user
- 2Low need Child
- 3Low need Adult
- 4Low Complexity Morbidity
Medium need
- 5Medium Complexity Morbidity
- 6Pregnancy Low Complexity
- 7Pregnancy High Complexity
- 8Dominant Psychiatric Condition
- 9Dominant Major Chronic Condition
High need
- 10Multi-Morbidity High Complexity
- 11Frailty
What do the groups mean?
- Green (Low Need): People without significant health issues, focus on staying w℮ll
- Orange (Moderate Need): People with one or more stable conditions, may need occasional support
- Red (High Need): People with several or complex conditions, who may need more regular or coordinated care
What does this mean for me?
- Your care remains personalised.
- Your right to access GP or nurse appointments does not change.
- The score simply helps the surgery to plan better, fairer, and more proactive care for everyone in the community.
This score is for planning and support. It does not affect your right to access care.
